Overview

In preparation of an event, you may want to test out the video functionalities in order to get a better understanding of what our live formats look like.

You can do so by generating test links for all four of our video formats in the Lobby of your event.

Instructions

In the "Events" tab, click on the event you are participating in and scroll to the bottom of the page in the "Live Feed" section of the lobby. Go to "Video Test" .

Step 1 - Generate a test link

Click on "Generate Test Link" for the video format you want to try out. Next, you will have the option to select a duration, and then simply click on "Generate".

Step 2 - Join the test link by yourself or with a colleague

By clicking on "Join" you can now enter the video format. You also have the option to copy the test link by clicking on the "Share" button and share it with a colleague, if you want to try out the video format together.

Step 3 - Choose to join as a speaker or participant

You can join your test link either as a participant or as a speaker. If you plan on hosting a program point or presenting materials, click on "Join as a speaker" to test out all the functionalities such as screen sharing, uploading presentations or even creating breakout rooms in a Session.
