Overview
The event controls are where you can publish your event and manage talents' and recruiters' access to the event or certain functionalities. Here you get to decide when you want to make the event visible on Talentspace, when you want the registration to open, and which functions you allow recruiters and talents to use once they entered the event.
Step 2 - Publish the landing page
Step 3 - Open the registration
Step 4 - Open the employer dashboard
Step 5 - Open the participant dashboard
Navigation
In the "Events" tab on the left side navigation bar, you will find your event overview. Click on the event you are setting up to edit it. Then, click on the "Event controls" tab.
Step 1 - Publish your event
The first step in the "Event controls" is publishing your event on Talentspace. Once you click on "Publish" the event is officially created and visible on the platform. This step is necessary in order for you to invite your colleagues, or recruiters to the event.
Step 2 - Publish the landing page
By publishing the Landing Page, the event will be visible and searchable by talents. To promote your event via email or social media, click on the red copy button ❏. You will then have copied the link to your landing page and can publish it or send it via email to everyone you want to invite as a participant.
Step 3 - Open the registration
Once you toggle the registration flow to "Open", talents will be able to register for the event.
Step 4 - Open the employer dashboard
Next, you can open up the employer dashboard. You need to toggle this to "On", in order for recruiters to enter the event on the platform.
Additionally, you have the option to allow or restrict certain functions you want recruiters to hold off on.
💡 Tip: We recommend switching everything on once you allow recruiters to enter the event, so they can start setting everything up immediately. |
Step 5 - Open the participant dashboard
Opening up the participant dashboard will allow participants to enter the event on the platform. You have the option to allow or restrict certain functions for them and also you can add a maximum number of 1-1 Chat requests per participant.
Step 6 - Add a welcome video
You can choose to embed a welcome video, which will be shown to all participants (talents and recruiters) upon logging into the event for the first time. The video is a one-off showing that will not pop up again upon logging in a second time. You can embed a video from either youtube or vimeo.
Step 7 - Get the QR code
Finally, as a last step, you can get the QR code as a PDF or as a PNG for your event. Once you click on any of the buttons, it will be automatically downloaded to your device.
